Deleting blocks

Hey,

I've been playing minecraft for around 5 years now and I was just playing a world that I've had for around a week, survival (no cheats) and I was mining, then the app crashed just as I was mining 2 diamonds. As I went back on the diamonds had been mined from their place but didn't end up in my inventory and had just vanished really,  I'm not asking for you to replace these diamonds as I can just mine for them again tomorrow don't worry. I just really don't want this issue to happen to anyone else because it was a sad feeling. Kindest regards and stay safe!
