Blocks that are pushes by pistons flash white

I was trying to make a flying machine and it wouldn't work. Building other things i also saw the blocks flash white. It didn't affect those builds. I don't know if flying machines just don't work anymore or if it's the blocks flashing white and messing every thing up.
