won't let me join worlds or servers

I play Minecraft bedrock on my iPad, and since the new nether update came out yesterday the game will NOT let me join ANYTHING. I cant join anybody's game, I can't join my own worlds, I can't join servers and realms. I've tried EVERYTHING besides deleting the app, because I don't want to lose my worlds. Every time I try to join a world it sits and loads FOREVER. It doesn't stop loading it just sits on the loading screen. I let it run for over an hour and when I came back it was still loading. Please fix this it's extremely annoying, I just want to play the game. Is there anyway I can fix it without having to delete the app???
