Giant Items In Hand Splitscreen Multiplayer

Whenever me and my sister go to do splitscreen multiplayer on the switch, the items in our hands are giant. If you have a shield and a another item out it covers about 50% of the screen. The GUI shrinks down properly because it's smaller. But the items in our hands don't shrink at all and cover loads of the screen.
