Map locator isn't moving at all

So I'm 22.000 blocks out just explored a woodland mansion and I have about 12 maps on me but its showing my map locator in the centre of every map when I switch to thm even though I am nowhere near the area , anyone else having this problem its since the 1.16 nether update happened !!!
