Update problem

I updated Minecraft this morning to try the new nether and when I launched Minecraft after it updated the background was still the same as v 1.14 but it said 1.16 in the bottom corner and it said unlock full game. Also when I went on my world and accessed the pause, but couldn't just had a loading bar.
