Gravel Disappears after bottom is broken

When mining Gravel, the blocks on top of the one broken disappear, they don't fall and break, but just vanish. Sometimes one or two blocks fall to be broken after the first one, but all the ones in-between are lost.

Galaxy S4 on KitKat

If this has been reported somewhere else, I couldn't find it, so I am submitting this one.

Since this error doesn't leave any visible evidence I can't provide a screen shot of it.
