Can not create a new world

Does this bug still appear in 0.11.1? If so please respond.

I have deleted the old vertion and installed 11.1 now it reply
"[WORLD NAME]" can't be opened.
Bad file number

The storage have 1 GB of free space

Sorry 1.8GB the other was internal space

What device are you using?

I have a Denvar TAD-70111MK2 whit Android 4.4.2 kernel 3.4.0+

In MCPE-9365 I've attached zip with erroneously created world. Also there are tablet description and some more screenshots.

I have used a live file viewer to monitor the generator to see where it messed up. The problem seems to be the file generating portion for sustain the world settings. It generates the files and then later goes to retrieve the files, but it cant, because it had accidentally, through redundant code, created 2 callback numbers for these files. Then when it goes to "callback" the manifests it can't find them.

I can't edit issue header, so anybody add v.0.12.1 beta 5 to "Affected versions"

Having the same or similar problem as everyone else. Got a new tablet at Christmas, and haven't been able to play on it at all. ValuePad VP112-10, running Android 4.4.2, as already noted by others above. Currently running v0.11.1 alpha – checked PlayStore – no new updates showing. MC:PE downloads, installs, and opens. However, If I try to create a world, whether in Creative or Survival, I get the same error message: "'My World' can't be opened. Bad file number." I have also tried using Mine Sync to import my saved worlds, to see if this would bypass the "Create" option, but no luck. My worlds do show listed, but NOTHING will open – still same error message: "'My World' can't be opened. Bad file number." Otherwise, the interface looks normal. Just can't actually PLAY. If additional information is needed, I am more than happy to supply. Thanks for any help you can provide. Original ticket was MCPE-8494.

I have been redirected to this from MCPE-7623 and MCPE-9013. The tablet we are using had version 11.1 too. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it to make sure that we were on the latest version from Playstore and that is the version that it installed still today. I get the same error as Mandi has described above.

Hi I was beta tester on 11 but can't remember how I dit, I can see you now have v.12 now can anyone tell how to get it, I don't think I havde recieved an opdate anoucment?

0.12.1 beta 6 affected too

Have just opdated to 0.12.1 - 6 and now it is saying can't create world.. still my Denver tablet.

They are changed error message but in the log file there is still "Bad file number"

so, beta 7 is out. but error still here.
Ken, can you add 4, 5, 6, 7 betas to Affected versions?

i have a new irulu tablet and am getting the same error message.

Is ther a fix for this? i have a very upset daugher who cant play mcpe. Everytime we try to open a world we get the error msg saying bad file name. Please someone help me with this!!!!

Are you sure your device has a SD card, or a SD directory? Because this can happen if no SD directory exists.

Yes I do have an sd card as for the directory when I open my storage it says there is 7.49 GB available its a 8GB card. There is nothing on the card.

Is anyone looking into this problem? If it helps I tried downloading a world map from mine maps. This did not work. My daughter was playing on her tablet and had the local server on and her world showed up on my screen. I was able to get into her world thru the server while she was playing.

Oh and I am using the most up to date version of mcpe 11.1

I for one would be more then happy to send my tablet in to be looked at! Please fix this problem!!!

the system whit creating new groups for every vertion is not userfreanly

The 12.2 is officially released now on iOS and Android. There is no beta test at the moment.

Now my son have had his tablet for 1 year only bout to play your game but not being able to and and no support from you and no response from you
