Farm animals escaping your farm made of cobblestone walls

I have 2 farms, both connecting with a cobblestone wall separator. 1 is for sheep and 1 for cows. After building stuff and mining stuff in my world for a few minutes, I checked my farm and noticed that there were 2 cows in my sheep farm.
