Glowstick bug

Whenever I make a glowstick in my worlds, it will just appear as a black and purple rectangular object. I already enabled Experimental Gameplay and Education Edition when I made that world, now I always check both of them everytime I open my world, but even if it's enabled, it always appear as (what I mentioned earlier) a "black and purple rectangular object". I uninstalled and reinstalled my minecraft, but it still doesn't look like a glowstick, it doesn't even glow when i use it.
