[MCPE-8127] emeralds spawn rate

I read that they are only to spawn in extreme hills biomes. I found about 15 emeralds in an abandoned mineshaft located in the plains.

Hello George, can you please provide the seed you are using, and where in this world your issue occurred? Were you anywhere near an extreme hills biome while in the mineshaft? Did you find the ore blocks, or the emerald item?

Oops, sorry everything is fine. i did not realize the mine shaft led me into a hill. Again, i apologize for your time.
