When i craft a map i can't see the map even if i put it on my left hand or in the item frame

When i craft a map,,,, i cant see the map on my rught hand so i put it on my left hand and i cant see anything this is so annoying,,,, i created a map to find village on my world but how could i do that now,,, please fix this bug,,, my cousin experience it as well
