Barrels exploded while opened show the open texture on the dropped block

When a open barrel is exploded by a creeper, the dropped barrel item have the the open barrel texture. when it is placed, it turns back to normal.

How to reproduce:
1- put a barrel in the world
2- spawn a creeper
3- open the barrel and let the creeper explode it
4- note that the dropped barrel is shown as open

What was expected:
The dropped broken barrel was shown closed, with the normal texture.

Sometimes the barrel will not drop with the explosion, but you need to make it some more times. Also, I didn't tried to do with TNT, but maybe the same thing is occurring.
