RTX beta - temples and totems - air temple - floating metal grids vanish between islands 2 and 3

while navigating the level I had made it to the second floating "island" ("L" shaped walkway just passed the small moving platforms and the air fountain) I started to navigate the smaller metal grid jump maze when I fell. when it teleported me back to Island 2 most of the maze (including sections I had not touched) was gone save for 3 sections much too far away to reach. I waited a fair while but nothing returned. I tried to save and quit then open the world back up and still nothing. Its only the second temple. I may start another game and see if it happens again.
