Map Turns Invisible When Trying To View

When attempting to view a map in-game, the map flickers and turns invisible. I was unable to find any way to replicate or fix the issue but the bug occurred just by opening the map included within the chest built on the world. The bug also occurred when spawning an empty map and locator map in creative mode and using it.
