Paintings cannot be destroyed with L button (Xperia Play)

On Xperia Play, if you click the L button, aiming at a painting, nothing happens. But if you click the R button, the painting is destroyed. The R button is used for placing, L for destroying blocks so it should be possible to click L to destroy paintings instead of R.
