It takes many clicks to speed up a strider.

When I want to speed up a strider with the warped fungus on a stick, it takes many clicks on the use button (LT) in order to speed up the strider when it is slow already.

Steps to reproduce

1. Go into creative.
2. Go into the nether.
3. Go onto lava in the nether.
4. Spawn a strider.
5. Get a warped fungus on a stick and also a saddle
6. Put the saddle on the strider.
7. Control the strider with the warped fungus on the stick.
8. Try and speed up the strider.

What I observed

It takes multiple clicks in order to speed up the strider.

What I expected to happen

It only takes one click to speed up the strider.
