Map suddenly got "corrupted"

Hi so I was carrying on playing minecraft and I was punching some holes through the nether with a pikeaxe. The very moment when that pikeaxe got depleted, my game stopped and the map turned "corrupted". I couldn't open it up since.

I've worked many hours on that map. How can I get it back?
