Chicken not being cooked in chicken cooker

Logged on and was happy to see Fortune III was working. Went to my chicken cooker and noticed raw chicken in the hopper. Let the cooker run a few minutes, and the lava was killing the adult chickens but they weren't being cooked.

So lava doesn't cook mobs any longer?
