Nether Sprouts turn into a corrupted item when dropped via their support block being broken

I play Minecraft on a Samsung Galaxy S7 phone, and when I break the support block for a nether sprouts block, it turns into that weird corrupted item with the spawn egg texture. This happens in survival and creative. You can clearly see the normal nether sprouts item in my inventory. It happens in new worlds and old worlds. I don't know if this happens on other beta builds or devices.
