Minecraft skin bug

When playing multiplayer with another player, I always appear to myself in their skin. Meanwhile, on their game, they always appear to themselves as my skin. We see each other in our own skins, but we see ourselves in the other's skin. Please, could you fix this, it's really annoying. Thank you.
