Villagers Despawn

I had 6 villagers in a small village that I had made outside of my base. The Villagers had all been in the village for a while but then my game crashed and 4 of the villagers despawned. This had alos occured earlier when my game crashed but at that time I had 3 villagers and 2 of them disappeared
