the portals arrive at the same place

Different portals located in the overworld arrive at the same place in the nether, no matter the position of it, I have tried this on several of my worlds and it gives me the same result. This has been quite problematic for me because the abandoned portals that I have found have not been useful to me, an example of this is the attached video.
