T Mobile G2 Crash Before World Generation

Device will not pass "Generating World" screen before application crashes. Creative/Survival/Multiplayer irrelevant. Old/Infinite/Flat irrelevant. No combination will allow a world generation. There were no legacy worlds on the device to verify that only new worlds are crashing the game. Phone is only used for multiplayer.
