Nether Portal Lit but won't transport

I am in the nether.  Portals are lit and are not near each other.  We just added a new portal that allowed me into the nether, but now none of them will allow me back to the overworld. I have tried 3 different portals and none of them work.  I have logged out and logged back in.  We only have 4-5 portals in the nether that are quite spread out.  Please help.  Thanks.
