Duplication Glitch from making a cake manually

Issue is similar with the book and quill duplicatuon glitch. The created cake did not appear in the inventory. Crafting items will drop the items instead of going to the inventory. Grinding an item will produce an unenchanted duplicate(with xp). Renaming the item in an anvil gives a renamed duplicate.

 

Workaround is restarting the game, but i dont want this kind of glitch ruining the balance of the game. Havent played as much in my original world since.
