Can't spin right

Hi,

 I can't spin right. Going left, I can spin for hours, but right won't. I have to keep tapping the joystick right to turn that way. Even then it's extremely slow. I've tried adjusting all of the options on the controller menu. I'd appreciate any insight you have.
