Anvil enchantment duplication

When repairing an item in pocket devices the item immediately gets dropped, this is half the problem, the main problem is that when in an anvil when I fix a broken enchanted bow(1st slot)  with a regular bow(2nd slot) then it drops the output fast enough that only the regular bow gets consumed.
