Minecart hopper doesn't pull items from on top of a jukebox

If you place a hopper in a minecart below a jukebox and drop an item on top of the jukebox, the hopper minecart does not collect the item.

I am pretty sure that this is not a feature because on the java edition the hopper minecart does collect the item.
