Nether Portal Game Crash

I was in the nether and a magma cube was attacking me. I went through my portal and I think the magma cube followed me because when I spawned in the overworld I died almost instantly. Problem is once I respawned now every time I try to use my portal to return to the nether the game white screens then crashes. Ive tried multiple portal and broke/relit them too. Any help would be appreciated.
