Not able to craft a wooden pickaxe in nether

I tried to survive in the nether from the start, only placing an anchor fo respawn, but when i was able to get the crimson or warped fungus, i made the planks an sticks. Then a crafting table, but when i i tri to to craft a wooden pickaxe, or other wooden tools, the recipe didnt appear, even when i introduced the recipe of 3 planks on top and to sticks verticly in the middle i still wasnt abl to craft it.

 

I have seen that on Minecraft Java 1.6.0.58,  player did the same, but he was able to craft them without a problem. 

 

I really hope it gets fixed please.
