Chunks not loading surface, revealing caves, etc.

Sometimes, quite often, chunks are not loaded visually, usually the same chunks suffer the issue each time after reloading. Have experienced in both the Nether and Overworld.

What I expected to happen was...:
Chunks to be displayed properly.

What actually happened was...:
The chunk was invisible but could still be interacted with correctly, entities appear but the terrain is not visible.

Steps to Reproduce:
Unfortunately I can't find a pattern in which this happens but it's not rare. Relogging normally fixes the issue for a while, but then it reoccurs.

 

Similar issue previously existed in Java Edition, MC-129
