Skin bug

Hey Mojang, Do you have any idea why my skin keeps changing back to the steve model instead of alex? There are like black lines behind my skin, I tried changing my skin back to slim, but it keeps changing to steve :/

Do you have any why it is doing this? (This is on Java edition By the way)
