Unable to leave beta

For some reason I can't leave the beta. I've tried the method of opting out on the Xbox insider app, uninstalling the game, and then reinstalling the game but it doesn't work. I'm not sure if I'm just plain dumb or if there is some sort of bug that makes it impossible to leave the beta.
