Paintings disappear

Whenever I place a painting, it just disappears into thin air.

DETAILS: When I right-click, it shows the hand placing the painting but I can't see the painting or where it went.
Later on I clicked on where the painting was and I got it back. So that means the paintings are actually invisible when placed.
I would appreciate it if you could fix this bug.
