Entering the Nether crashes the game on low-end devices with 100+MB of worlds

So I copied my 209MB world, I decided to check all the features before the great release of this nice update, then when I was in the loading screen of going to the Nether it crashed my game! If I was in survival I would've lost everything I grabbed! This is very serious. I also experienced low frame rates and poor chunk loading.
