Minecraft does not use the whole screen because there is a camera hole in the screen, this is the case with the Huawei P40 Lite and other similar smartphones. I made a screenshot of the game, and with red arrows I marked this space and the white one with the camera. I would ask you to fix it, because I'm not hiding that it's annoying.
