I entered my nether and everything got rest and it didn't even leave a new portal in the nether

I wanted to go to my guardian farm through the nether an when I went into the portal everything I built got deleted and my nether got reset. This happened in 1.14.60 which is not the nether update. when I went into the nether it did not even made a new portal it was just nether and me. I had no way to go back home so I died but again when I tried to go in it happened again and now I can't go inside the nether because if I go there is no way back
