End world gateway glitch

Me or my friends can't access the end gateway (portals) every time we try to go in one it just spawns us back in the end world and not in the end city

The version we play is minecraft beta 1.16.0.57 on the xbox one if that helps in any way

this has been an issue for a couple of months
