Game gets stuck on Mojang screen and I can't get into the game

Ever since my iPad automatically updated Minecraft to 1.14.60, I have not been able to get into the game. When I try to open the app, it stays on the screen where it says "Mojang" for about 2 seconds before it brings me back to the home screen of my iPad. I don't think it is crashing, because there is a very smooth transition out of the app, as if I have pressed the home button on my iPad, which i have not. I have tried restarting my iPad, but i still faced the same issue. When I tried turning the WiFi off, it says that it must have a connection to the app store in order to verify the app because I am using Minecraft for the first time, which is not true. It would be great if this issue could be fixed. Thank you.
