Furnace would not smelt gold

        I was playing Survival in the newest snapshot of Bedrock Minecraft. I had mined 33 gold ore and I put it in the furnace and put some coal on the bottom, but the gold would not smelt, so I broke the furnace and tried again, but the gold ore would still not smelt. And no, there wasn't anything in the slot to the right.
