locator(?0 map is incredibly brokem

when i open my locator map, or put it in an item frame, it shows that something is there, but the map cannot be seen; however if i hold the map but not have it open, the map is shown in my hand but only as it is shown in my hotbar. hope this isn't a bother to you, have a good day. -illya
