I cannot see friends that are online in minecraft windows 10, also people cannot join me who are not on LAN connection, but my gold is active.

Then game will not let me see my friends who are in a world, unless it is LAN, and other people cannot join me if they are not on a LAN network, even though it says my gold is active and running
