Can't craft wooden tools out of nether planks.

I am on mobile and cannot create wooden tools out of warped planks or crimson planks. I can still make other wooden items out of them, such as buttons, bowls, fences, crafting tables, doors, etc but not tools. Every other wood still works and I can also craft stone tools out of Blackstone. I tried restarting the app to no avail.
