Slime climbing scaffolding

When I was building my slime farm I had scaffolding down to the bottom and a slime spawned
I then fell of the scaffolding and ran back before I was killed by the slime and then the slime suddenly started climbing the scaffolding and then it suffocated. It was one of the bigger 3x3 slimes.
