Indefinite Loading Screen after Going through a Nether Portal

Happens when I take a nether portal from the Nether into the Jungle Biome (works fine for other biomes so far). The game will either stay indefinitely in the loading screen, or improperly load the world so that I can see through walls/ground. Either way, 4 times out of 5 I have to restart the world
