When returning from Nether, some chunks do not load

Every time I enter the nether and return back, there appears to be some chunks that do not load. They are see through and you can break them but nothing happens. In order to get those chunks to reload, I need to safe and quit and reopen my world. This happens in both survival and creative mode.
