Spawn on the ceiling in the nether

I was trying to see the nether and then a found 

a piglin spawn egg. I wanted to spawn them in the same place so I dug a two Block hole in the nether. 

Then I build a tower so I could spawn them on the ceiling of the tower so they would fall in the hole.

When I tried to spawn them they would spawn at my cordinates. I was sad😪.
