Warped fence gates do not save, appear broken.

I have been building a castle with my girlfriend whilst under quarantine, (which I hope everybody is surviving!) 

Whilst building my bridge I noticed that warped fence gates were only placing on my client (I am the host of the server.) This was a weird oddity, I went to look at my girlfriend's computer as she was sitting right next to me, and the warped fence gates that I placed were not on her screen. When I on my client which is host update the warped fence gates, they disappear. This has happened consistently every single time I try to do it. I've reloaded the world many times, to no avail. 

This happened in a Mesa Biome to clarify, if you are unable to recreate this glitch.
