Bug when choosing "Old" as a world type

I started a new world with the world type "Old" just to see how it looked. I spawned near some trees and while I was cutting them I saw that some chunk hadn's been loaded. I restarted the game and nothing, then I restarted my PC and it didn't seem to fix the problem. For some reason now, I'm unable to jump out of the water.
